DIVISION V

Woodcrest Christian 2, St. Bonaventure 0--The Seraphs (20-5-1) were eliminated in the semifinals for the third consecutive season while being held to four hits at Riverside Woodcrest Christian.

Gary Gallegos of Woodcrest Christian (21-6-1) allowed two hits and struck out six in 6 1/3 innings.

Gallegos went three for three with two doubles. He drove in a run and scored another.

St. Bonaventure had the bases loaded with one out in the sixth, but couldn’t capitalize.

Jack Swisher of St. Bonaventure allowed two hits and struck out eight in 4 2/3 shutout innings of relief.

DIVISION VI

Grace Brethren 11, Rio Hondo Prep 3--Tim Thompson scattered seven hits, gave up one earned run and struck out four for the two-time defending champion Lancers at Rio Hondo Prep.

Thompson (16-2) hit a two-run double in the fifth inning to give the Lancers their first lead, 3-2.

Grace Brethren (22-4) scored seven runs in the seventh, highlighted by home runs from Chris Beaty, Thompson and Shawn McClain.
