The state Employment Development Department will offer a free seminar in Costa Mesa on state basic payroll tax for all employers from 9 a.m. to noon June 7.
The seminar will be held at the Coastal County Regional One-Stop Center, 1675 Scenic Ave., Room 222.
The lecture will cover such topics as whether a person is an employee or independent contractor, state payroll tax reporting requirements, managing unemployment insurance costs and other employment development department services offered to employers. Seating is limited; call (714) 288-2619 to make a reservation.
