Clyde Richards didn’t go out with a Southern Section championship, but he didn’t go out with a whimper either.
Richards, retiring after 15 seasons as the Burbank High boys’ tennis coach, saw the Bulldogs go down biting and scratching Tuesday when they lost to Fullerton Troy on games, 71-64, after splitting 18 sets in a Division II quarterfinal match at Troy.
