Restrictions on Food Sales

* Re “County Backs Study of Plan to Cut Big-Box Grocery Sales,” May 17.
Here we go again--a feel-good Band-aid for a nonproblem.
For the $500 donation to Supervisor John K. Flynn from the union, we now have to spend thousands of our tax dollars looking at a plan that, if enacted, would cost consumers in higher grocery prices.
Thanks for nothing, John.
Why are they spending even 5 cents on a symbolic study? And where is the fairness if union members keep their jobs at the expense of consumers who have to pay higher prices for food?
They are truly shooting us in the foot on this one.
