* Regarding your May 17 article about show biz icons not receiving residuals: I was stunned to find out that Madelyn Pugh Davis and Bob Carroll Jr. had not in 43 years been paid a dime in compensation for their script writing of “I Love Lucy.”
Last summer at the annual We Love Lucy convention in Burbank, I had the privilege of meeting and talking with both Davis and Carroll, thanking them for their creative genius in writing “Lucy” and making me laugh.
Indeed, I wish I had a dime for every time I’ve seen their names in the closing credits of “I Love Lucy.”
