2nd Walkway Closes as Probe Continues

Engineers in Concord, N.C., said a second walkway at Lowe’s Motor Speedway has a rust spot and ordered it closed until they learn why the track’s other pedestrian bridge collapsed, injuring 107 people. State investigators believe corrosion caused an 80-foot section of the 320-foot walkway to collapse. Forty-eight people remained hospitalized after the incident.
