SAN CLEMENTE
The city clerk’s office has set up a reporting program to track complaints about Marine Corps flights from Camp Pendleton that pass over residences.
The purpose of the program is to ensure the Marine Corps is aware of all complaints related to operations out of the Helicopter Outlying Landing Field, a facility the Marines are building at the north end of Camp Pendleton, about 3 1/2 miles from the city’s southeast boundary.
The city considered legal action against Camp Pendleton this year to stop construction of the helipad.
To register a complaint, call City Hall at (949) 361-8200.
