Local high school students will pump some youth into city government.
City Council members last week unanimously approved the formation of the Laguna Niguel Youth Committee, a nine-member board that will have a hand in city affairs and launch a youth Web site featuring a job bank, directory with counseling and suicide hotline numbers and information on the city’s recreation and sports programs.
Council members, who are planning the application process for the inaugural board, expect to interview candidates in July.
