ACLU Lawsuit
* Re “ACLU Sues State Over Conditions in Poor Schools,†May 18: I know that the LAUSD schools are poor, but not that poor. I know that the bathrooms are disgusting, but many things mentioned in the article are false. I attend Berendo Middle School. Berendo does have books; in fact, we have brand-new books. Yes, we do have ugly, disgusting bathrooms, but it’s the students’ fault. We make the mess. I really like my school, even though it is bad in an indirect way. I actually am a smart student. I obtained 90-95 in my Stanford 9 scores. The teachers make this happen.
