Some of the most talented senior table tennis players in the country will converge on Leisure World in June to compete for $14,000 in prize money.
The 11th annual Meiklejohn National Seniors Table Tennis Tournament, scheduled from June 2 through 4, is expected to draw nearly 200 people. It is open to players 40 years or older.
“Here at Leisure World, we’ve played a highly visible role in promoting the expansion of recreational table tennis,†said Olga Feingold Kahan, the tournament’s director.
Competitors will include former members of China’s national team.
The tournament, hosted by the National Senior Table Tennis Tournament Assn., will be held at Leisure World’s Clubhouse 5. Information: (714) 832-4388.
