Tenant’s Experience at Chase Knolls

As a former resident of the Chase Knolls apartments, I find Dennis Cavallari’s article a bit disingenuous. To hear him tell it, Chase Knolls is a rundown, festering sore on the Sherman Oaks landscape. Nothing could be further from the truth.
My family moved from the complex last July because we had outgrown our two-bedroom apartment. Our unit was well-maintained, with fresh paint, new copper plumbing and ample bedroom space. We loved it and were sorry to leave it behind. The grounds were kept pristine, with lovely lawns and large pine trees everywhere. I can’t speak for the entire complex, but the dilapidated dump Cavallari describes is not consistent with my experience at Chase Knolls.
Rents for new tenants have increased substantially since we moved out. Why? Because Chase Knolls is a desirable place to live. Legacy [Partners] is the new kid on a very old block. I just hope they don’t kill the neighborhood.
