Waves Lost in a Sea of El Paso Goals

Craig Yacks and Bisser Georgiev both scored twice as the El Paso Patriots defeated the Waves, 6-2, Friday at Santa Ana Stadium.
El Paso midfielder Martin Arrieta scored 10 minutes into the game. Yacks scored in the 33rd minute, and assisted on Georgiev’s first goal less than a minute later. Yacks made the score 4-1 in the 54th.
Kirk Wilson and Georgiev capped El Paso’s scoring late in the second half.
The Waves (6-5) outshot El Paso, 21-16, but managed only one goal in each half, by Omar Elminovfi in the 37th minute and Jason Boyce in the 86th.
