Sheriff to Hold Carnival, Block Party

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department will hold its annual block party and carnival today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will be held at Rio Plaza Elementary School at 600 Simon Way in Oxnard. The party will feature games, food booths and also showcase specialized units of the Sheriff’s Department.
Sponsors of the free event are the Sheriff’s Department, the Rio School District, Rio Plaza School and PTA, the El Rio Lions Club and County Supervisor John Flynn.
