Protest March
* Re Heidi Barron’s May 16 letter: She is one of the many misinformed moms who marched to make everyone more likely to become a victim of gun violence. I was at the Armed Informed Mothers March on Sunday in Westwood and we definitely had over 500 people there. We know this because we handed out name tags to everyone and we ran out at 500. Yes, we were outnumbered, but we didn’t have the media exposure or the massive funding that our opponents received.
Gun violence is on the decline. It is the lowest it has been since records were first kept in 1903. Gun ownership has increased and gun crime has decreased. That is a fact. Criminals will always get guns, and we need to be able to protect ourselves and our families.
