Hudson’s Fusion Debut Helped by Welton’s Goal

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Welton scored in the eighth minute of overtime Wednesday night to give the Miami Fusion, playing their first game under interim Coach Ray Hudson, a 1-0 victory over D.C. United.
Welton fired an 18-yard shot inside the right post to beat goalkeeper Tom Presthus.
Hudson replaced Ivo Wortmann Monday.
