Sylmar def. Marshall, 16-12, 12-15, 15-9, 15-4--Chris Pelayo had three of his four aces in the fourth game to help Sylmar (8-7) in a quarterfinal at Marshall.

Pelayo had 15 kills, 16 digs and five blocks for the Spartans.
