Amy Thiel of Moorpark College won three events Saturday at the All-American Community College National Elite track and field meet at the U.S. Olympic training site in Chula Vista.
Thiel, a transfer from Colorado State, set personal bests while winning the hammer throw at 175-3, the discus at 163-1 and the shotput at 47-6. Raider teammate Angela Foster took second in the hammer (167-1) and shot put (43-9 1/2).
Ray Carmel of Moorpark took second in the men’s long jump at 23-6 3/4 and Kim Lorimer of Glendale was second in the women’s 3,000 meters in a personal-best 10:33.73.
