Women’s golf and women’s indoor track will begin play at UC Irvine in the 2001-2002 school year. A search for a golf coach will begin next month, according to a statement from Athletic Director Dan Guerrero. Current track and field Coach Vince O’Boyle will handle the indoor program. However, Irvine does not have an indoor track facility and one is not planned any time soon. That means, according to a spokesman, that the Anteaters will travel to compete in all meets and invitationals.
