The United Water Conservation District has appointed Dana L. Wisehart its general manager.
Wisehart has been the district’s acting general manager since Jan. 8 when former manager Fred Gientke retired.
The appointment was made last week.
The district provides wholesale water to Oxnard, the Port Hueneme Water Agency, which includes the two naval bases, Pleasant Valley County Water District and several small water companies.
The district’s policies are directed by a seven-member board of directors.
Wisehart has been the deputy general manager since 1997 and was responsible for interagency planning and strategy formation.
Before joining United she was the legislative analyst with the Assn. of California Water Agencies, which she joined in 1985.
