Santa Ana Beats Hornets in Ninth, 6-3

Santa Ana scored three runs in the top of the ninth and defeated Fullerton, 6-3, in an Orange Empire Conference baseball game Thursday at Fullerton.
Christopher Wilson allowed four hits in eight innings to earn the victory and helped his own cause with a sixth-inning home run.
Santa Ana is 17-1-2, 6-1-1. Fullerton drops to 8-13, 2-6.
In another conference game:
Golden West 19, Saddleback 2--Host Golden West (12-8, 4-4) scored six runs in the first inning and Todd Gelatka (2-1) allowed two hits in five innings, striking out seven. The Rustlers had 13 hits, four by Ty Harper.
Saddleback is 13-5-1, 3-4-1.
In Orange Empire Conference softball:
Cypress 3, Santa Ana 1--Lisa Monreal pitched seven innings, allowing one run and getting the victory for visiting Cypress (13-2-1, 7-2).
In Orange Empire Conference men’s tennis:
Saddleback 9, Riverside 0--Sean Ruitenberg won his singles matches, 6-0, 6-0, and teamed with Tim Dileo to win in doubles, 6-0, 6-1, for Saddleback (11-1, 6-0).
