Not a concept album about the former president, but still a tricky disc. This postmodern Nashville band uses its droll attitude and a sweet ‘70s Southern soul-pop style as the vehicle for its ruminations on the human condition, some of them reflecting facets of the title character’s character. Touching when it’s not being too arch, funny when it is. Lambchop plays with Yo La Tengo on Monday at the El Rey Theatre.
