Billy Bush of Cal State Northridge placed 10th in the men’s shotput and teammate Clinte Motley tied for 12th in the high jump in the NCAA indoor track and field championships Friday at Fayetteville, Ark.
Bush, a senior, had a best of 60-8 on Friday after winning the Big Sky Conference title with a career best of 61-9 1/2 two weeks ago.
Sophomore Jannus Robberts of Southern Methodist placed first with a best of 65-1 1/4.
Motley, a junior, cleared 7-1 1/2 in the high jump to tie for 12th with senior Bobby Myers of Wisconsin.
Mark Boswell of Texas, the silver medalist in the World championships for Canada last year, won the event at 7-7 3/4.
Motley will compete in the men’s triple jump for the second year in a row today, as will senior Brandi Prieto of Northridge in the women’s triple jump.
