Cowboys Gamble on Underwood

The Dallas Cowboys signed troubled defensive end Dimitrius Underwood on Friday to a two-year contract.
Underwood, a first-round draft pick by Minnesota last season, has yet to play a down because of a series of bizarre incidents with the Vikings, then the Miami Dolphins, including a suicide attempt.

Ray Lewis pleaded not guilty to murder and assault charges stemming from two stabbing deaths after a Super Bowl party in Atlanta. Jury selection is scheduled for May 15. . . . The Arena League Avengers signed three former USC players--offensive specialist Travis Hannah, wide receiver/defensive back Mike Bastianelli and lineman Cedric Jefferson.
