The Planning Commission will meet tonight in the Community Center instead of City Hall to accommodate the high turnout expected for discussion of the proposed 356-home Whispering Hills Development.
Two city commissions already have reviewed the plan, which will be brought before the City Council after the Planning Commission makes its recommendation.
Last week, the Sierra Club unanimously decided to support Citizens Against Uncontrolled San Juan Expansion, a group of residents against the proposed development.
CAUSE opposes the proposed project because of environmental concerns, grading, traffic and the number of homes proposed.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Community Center, 25925 Camino Del Avion.
