LAGUNA NIGUEL
More than $18,000 was raised at a charity dinner held by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society earlier this month at the Dana Point Yacht Club.
About 190 attended, including Laguna Niguel resident Paul Glaab, who serves on the society’s national board of directors; Councilwoman Linda Lindholm; and Capistrano Unified School District Trustee Crystal Kochendorfer, who served as one of the “celebrity waiters.”
Since 1949, the society, formerly known as the Leukemia Society of America, has been committed to finding cures for all blood-related cancers.
For more information, call the society’s local office at (714) 633-6858.
