The Irvine maker of high-performance time and frequency products for telecommunications networks posted sharply higher net income for the second quarter on record revenue. The company earned $1.1 million, or 17 cents a share, up from $222,000, or 4 cents a share, a year earlier. Earnings for the recent quarter include one-time charges of about $600,000, primarily from refinancing debt at a lower interest rate, termination of an unsolicited bid for the company, and management changes. Revenue rose 36% to $33.6 million.
