Man to Head Women’s Network
IVillage Inc. said Chief Executive Candice Carpenter, who founded the online women’s network five years ago, stepped aside and will be replaced by a man. IVillage President Doug McCormick, 50, will succeed Carpenter, who will remain chairman of the media group. Carpenter, 48, said the change would allow her to spend more time representing the IVillage brand in the United States and around the world. Before joining IVillage as president in April, McCormick was CEO of Lifetime Television.
