* Re “Laguna Beach to Debate End of Sobriety Checkpoints,” July 8:
Laguna Beach may need sobriety checkpoints. What makes me fear more for this community is that Betsy Jenkins, president of the Laguna Beach Unified PTA Council, believes that the constitutional provision they may or may not violate is the 1st, rather than the 4th Amendment.
