Trio-Tech Subsidiary Wins $2.6-Million Contract

Trio-Tech International in San Fernando said its subsidiary Universal Systems has won a contract valued at $2.6 million from Alcatel Optronics, a unit of Alcatel in Paris.
The contract is for automated wet process systems used in the production of silicon and for gallium arsenide wafers used in fiber-optic telecommunications systems.
Trio-Tech operates semiconductor manufacturing, testing and distribution facilities in the United States, Europe and Asia.
