LAGUNA WOODS
Repairs are underway on a horse corral at the Leisure World stable and an electrical voltage box that were damaged in an accident involving a bus last week. The work may be completed this week.
A Leisure World bus careened into an embankment on Wednesday morning. No one was hurt.
Damage to the electrical unit and stable were estimated at $5,000 to $7,000, said Kirk Watilo, Leisure World’s community and government relations manager.
A replacement bus is expected next month and will cost about $200,000, said Ralph Shafer, transportation manager for Leisure World.
