FOUNTAIN VALLEY
Police Lt. Paul Sorrell will be promoted to captain on July 28. Sorrell, who has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Cal State Fullerton, has been with the department for 19 years. During his career, he has worked in the patrol and detective divisions and was assigned to the department’s Law Enforcement Apprehension Program. Sorrell is currently the detective division SWAT commander.
