The North Orange County Continuing Education Center on Fairmont Boulevard will hold a summer T-Rex Camp, sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution from July 24 through Aug. 3. Students in grades three through six will get an opportunity to learn about the Mesozoic Era, when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. Students will be taught how to discover fossils, spot dinosaur characteristics in today’s animals, assess the difference between reptiles and dinosaurs and create a stegosaurus mural.
The camp will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday at the Yorba Linda Continuing Education Center, 4175 Fairmont Blvd. Tuition is $160. Information: (714) 779-8279.
