Figures just released show that the Orange County Transportation Authority’s Measure M program distributed $4.4 million to the city since its inception in 1990.
The Measure M Traffic and Growth Management Plan was approved by voters for distributing transportation dollars locally.
The money has been used to fund local street and road improvements.
“The great feature of this program is that cities have a lot of discretion on how funds are used,” said Councilwoman Laurann Cook, chairwoman of the transportation authority. “The cities know best how to use this money.”
