Candie Kung, a Fountain Valley High graduate, lost to Sarah Bellinger of Palm Desert, 3 and 1, in the second round of the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links championship at Legacy Golf Links in Aberdeen, N.C.
Kung, who finished third in stroke-play qualifying Tuesday and Wednesday with rounds of 73-69--142, defeated Shannon Ingalls of Fallbrook, 2 and 1, in the first round.
