Serra Catholic Elementary School has big plans to expand its campus on Antonio Parkway to meet the growing demand. The school is planning to create classrooms for every grade level, and their goal is to limit each class to 28 pupils. Serra opened in 1995 with an enrollment of 250 students in grades one through six. The number doubled to 500 the following year and has continued to grow. The campus now consists of temporary modular buildings that house classrooms, administrative offices, computer labs and a library. The school’s plans call for a permanent campus that will include more classroom space, expanded facilities, parking and a large bell tower.
