Students Sought for Arts Internships
Applications are due Tuesday for 155 paid summer internships offered through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
Students will learn managerial and administrative skills by working full time from May 30 through Sept. 1 at one of 148 nonprofit performing and literary arts organizations. Area groups include the Valley Cultural Center, Topanga Symphony, Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum and the Santa Clarita Ballet Company.
Applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduates who live or attend college in Los Angeles County, will have completed at least one college semester by June and will not graduate before December.
Applications are available from the participating organizations or from Luisa Cariaga, technical assistance manager, Los Angeles County Arts Commission, Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration, 500 W. Temple St., Room 374, Los Angeles 90012, or by calling (213) 974-1343 or faxing (213) 625-1765.
Applications must be postmarked by Tuesday and those chosen will be notified March 15.
