Warren J. Nelson has been promoted to president and chief executive and Earl G. Fleisher has been promoted to chief financial officer for Huntway Refining Co., the company said.
The Newhall-based company owns and operates two refineries in Wilmington and Benicia that process California crude oil to produce liquid asphalt for use in road construction and repair.
* James R. Miller has been appointed co-chairman and chief executive of Burbank-based Bel Air Entertainment, the company said. He will share the position with Steven D. Reuther.
* Keri Selig has been named senior vice president of the company.
Miller will be responsible for finance, marketing and filmmaking, while Selig will develop upcoming motion picture projects.
Miller had been president of Warner Bros. Worldwide Theatrical Business Operations for two years and joined Warner Bros. in 1979. Selig had been senior vice president of production at Kopelson Entertainment.
Bel Air Entertainment is part of a 2-year-old joint venture between Warner Bros. and European entertainment group, CANAL+.
* Patrick Liot has been appointed president of Alcatel and Steve Y. Kim will become the managing partner of Alcatel Ventures, a newly created venture capital fund backed by Alcatel, the company said.
Calabasas-based Alcatel makes specialty switches and other data networking equipment. The company operates in more than 130 countries and has reported sales of $25 billion.
