Conference to Address ‘Future of Real Estate in New Economy’

Economic and political observer Joel Kotkin will make a luncheon presentation Monday during the first UCLA Extension/Los Angeles Times 2000 Real Estate Forecast. .

Kotkin will speak on the theme of the conference: “The Future of Real Estate in the New Economy.†The one-day event will also include the panels “Retail’s Response to E-Commerce,†“Strategies for Developing New Communities,†“Opportunities for Real Estate Companies in the Internet Economy†and “Meeting the Needs of a Changing Workplace.â€

In addition, the real estate services firm Grubb & Ellis will release its forecast for the Los Angeles basin and the nation.
