Montana won, 74-68, at Northridge last February, the last time the Matadors were defeated on their court. Northridge Coach Bobby Braswell shuffled the lineup Thursday against Montana State, resulting in a 73-63 victory. Forward Andre Larry came off the bench and Brian Heinle, the team’s leading scorer, started at center. Forward Matt Williams of Montana is the Big Sky’s scoring and rebounding leader, averaging 19.5 points and 9.9 rebounds.
