Buena, which had been ranked No. 2 in the region by The Times behind Ventura, is ranked No. 6 in the state by Cal-Hi Sports. Ventura, which was No. 3 two weeks ago, dropped to No. 4 at the start of the week.
Ventura and Buena held the same rankings in the Division I poll.
Newbury Park (15-4) is ranked No. 6 in Division II, Alemany (14-4) is No. 3 and Harvard-Westlake (14-6) is No. 9 in Division III.

The boys’ basketball team at Simi Valley (17-2), ranked No. 1 in the region, has climbed to No. 12 in the state rankings by Cal-Hi Sports, and No. 8 in the state for Division I.
Harvard-Westlake (14-4) is No. 4 in the Division III state rankings, with Notre Dame (14-5) at No. 8 and Chaminade (11-5) at No. 9.
Campbell Hall (13-5) is No. 3 in Division V.
