Cleveland 3, Birmingham 1--Andrianna Castaneda’s goal 10 minutes into the second half broke a 1-1 tie for the Cavaliers in a West Valley League game at Cleveland.

Angela Velez added an insurance goal for Cleveland (6-3-2, 1-2-1), which played to a 1-1 tie in the first half on goals by Nichole Cordova of the Cavaliers and Jenny Perada of Birmingham.

Monroe 1, Reseda 0--Nancy Hernandez scored her second consecutive game-winning goal for the Vikings in a Valley Mission League game at Monroe.

Hernandez’ goal in the 65th minute helped give Monroe (9-2-3, 4-0) sole possession of first place.

Maggie Andrade recorded her third shutout in league play and her sixth this season.

Reseda is 6-1, 3-1.

Hart 3, Burroughs 1--Ebony Lewis, Katie Werthlin and Katie McKeon scored for Hart in a Foothill League game at Burroughs.

Oak Park 6, Carpinteria 0--Amy Poyer scored three goals for the second consecutive game and the Eagles (11-6-2, 3-0-1) won a Tri-Valley League game at Carpinteria. Poyer has 18 goals this season.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Montana 60, CS Northridge 46--Edniesha Curry had 24 points, but Northridge (11-5, 5-1) suffered its first Big Sky Conference loss at Montana.
