Runoff from recent rains has contaminated 10 beaches, Ventura County health officials reported Thursday.
Beaches posted with warning signs this weekend include: Promenade Park, at Figueroa Street; Promenade Park, at the Redwood Apartments; Promenade Park, at Oak Street; San Buenaventura State Beach, near San Jon Road; Ormond Beach, near the J Street drain; Ormond Beach, near the industrial drain; Silver Strand Beach, at Sawtelle Avenue; Deer Creek Beach; Hobie Beach; and Channel Islands Harbor Beach Park.
Swimmers, waders and surfers should keep at least 50 yards from each side of the signs, officials advise.
