A plan to replace view-blocking eucalyptus trees in Canyon Park with sycamores and oaks won’t solve the problem, people living near the park told the City Council on Monday.
The council unanimously voted to delay the plan, recognizing new trees might also grow tall enough to block homeowners’ ocean views.
City staff will search to find shorter native trees for the park over the next two months.
