Chatsworth 51, Birmingham 34--Liz Sun and Ashley Shelton each scored 23 points in a West Valley League game at Birmingham.
Sun had 16 rebounds and Shelton made three three-point baskets for the Chancellors (10-4, 1-0).
Shelton scored nine points in the fourth quarter, when Chatsworth outscored the Patriots, 15-2.
Octavia Askew scored 13 points for Birmingham (6-5, 0-1).
North Hollywood 65, Hollywood 21--Kaipresha Price had 21 points, five steals and five assists for the Huskies in a Sunset Six League victory at North Hollywood.
Richelle Sherman had 18 points, 15 rebounds, six steals and five blocked shots for the Huskies (10-6, 1-0).
Kevla Melendez had eight points for the Sheiks (0-4, 0-1).
Kennedy 61, San Fernando 29--Jevay Grooms had 20 points, 16 blocked shots, 14 rebounds and five steals for the Golden Cougars in a Valley Mission League game at San Fernando.
