Notre Dame 55, Verbum Dei 46--Michael Luderer had three three-point baskets and 13 points during the decisive third quarter as the host Knights (22-6) defeated last season’s state Division IV champion.
Leading, 23-22, at halftime, Notre Dame outscored the Eagles, 22-12, in the third quarter, with Cody Pearson, who had 24 points, scoring six points. Luderer finished with 21.
