A Chocolate Shuffle
Jerbeau’s chocolates are available at Gelson’s and Bristol Farms markets, but check out the company’s Web site; someone’s having a lot of fun with it.
When you go to the store section and click on the Jerbeau Heart (a bulbous heart-shaped plastic box of dark and milk chocolate hearts), Cupid shoots his arrow into a box that explodes with chocolates. All sorts of things are animated, even the usually dull personnel section; the director of the company, Katalin Coburn, does some goofy ballet if you click on her image (the words “Make It Stop!” immediately appear under it). If you win the “Juffle Shuffle,” a sort of shell game with shuffling chocolates, you get a prize with your order. Our suggestion: Pick the blue chocolate.
