The city’s Art in Public Places program is about to unveil its newest addition to the city streets: “Portals,” a three-panel steel sculpture displaying Brea’s connection to oil, orange groves and community groups. The opening will be today at the Pacific Western National Bank on Brea Boulevard just south of Lambert Road. The sculpture is the city’s 119th piece. Outdoor sculptures are required for developments costing more than $500,000. At least $5,000 must be used for artwork. Information: (714) 990-7177.
