Volunteers are needed to donate an hour or two at a Measure F community picnic Saturday. Organizers need help setting up, cleaning up and staffing the children’s events, said George Somogyi, community organizer. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Highlands Park, in the 29000 block of Highlands Avenue, near Alicia Parkway. Residents should pack a picnic lunch. State Sen. Bill Morrow (R-Oceanside) and Councilwoman Linda Lindholm are among the featured speakers.
