Not His Father’s Diction

Unlike his father, you can’t call Michael Reagan a “great communicator” (“Michael Reagan Finds a Home on L.A.’s KIEV,” by Judith Michaelson, Jan. 29).

Choose any broadcast and you will find a total inability to articulate. Even basic words are a challenge to him. You haven’t lived until you’ve heard his two-syllable pronunciation of “Washington.” But the real treat is his unending list of malapropisms. My favorite came when he was reporting on the seizure of an arms cache. He pronounced it “ca-shay.” Do tunein. It’s a hoot!
