Hycor Blood Screening Allowed to Be Marketed

Hycor Biomedical Inc. said Thursday that it has received approval from the Food and Drug Administration to sell a new autoimmune screening test in the United States.
The Garden Grove maker of diagnostic products said in a press release that its newly approved Anti-Cardiolipin Screen ELISA works with two previously approved autoimmune kits.
The kits detect antibodies associated with antiphospholipid syndrome, which can lead to blood clots, strokes or heart attacks.
